Recently, Xie Yulai, Secretary-General of the Aftermarket Production and Sales Branch of the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association), was dispatched by the Association's leadership to visit the Foreign Trade Division of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the Foreign Trade Division) regarding encouraging and supporting construction machinery enterprises in Shanxi Province to participate in the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as BICES 2023) and overseas industry exhibitions organized by the Association's cooperative agents. The visit was warmly received.

During the talks, Xie Yulai expressed gratitude for the warm reception by the Foreign Trade Division, then introduced the Association's overview and the current industry development situation, and highlighted the BICES exhibition led and hosted by the Association and its current preparation status, as well as the overseas exhibitions organized by the Association's cooperative agents. He stated that BICES, as the international exhibition with the longest history in China's construction machinery sector, has become an important platform for the debut of construction machinery innovations and for brand display and enhancement, and a bridge for promoting cooperation and trade connectivity between Chinese and foreign enterprises. At this edition, nearly all of the world's top 50 construction machinery enterprises are participating, all directly organized by their corporate headquarters. Enterprises in Shanxi Province such as Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., and CRRC Datong Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. are all exhibiting on a large scale at this edition. It is believed that with the strong support of exhibitors, BICES 2023 will become the high-quality industry exhibition with the largest number of direct participants among global construction machinery leaders in the Eurasian region this year. Meanwhile, the organizers will continue to join hands with international and domestic cooperative and supporting units to jointly organize a series of high-end international forums and activities, such as the 3rd "Belt and Road" Construction Machinery International Cooperation Forum, the 3rd China-Africa Construction Machinery Cooperation and Development Forum, and the 2nd International Capacity Cooperation Overseas Contracting and Construction Machinery Cooperation Forum, and to organize international exhibitors, buyers, users and visitors to come to Beijing to visit, exchange and negotiate on post-pandemic construction machinery equipment procurement and project construction cooperation. It is believed that through various measures, China's construction machinery foreign trade and internationalization will be effectively promoted. Finally, Xie Yulai extended an invitation to the relevant person in charge of the Foreign Trade Division to attend the exhibition, looking forward to on-site visits and inspections of BICES 2023 in September.

At the same time, Xie Yulai introduced the Association's business in overseas exhibitions organized by its cooperative agents, stating that the Association has already carried out in-depth cooperation with more than 20 key exhibitions in relevant foreign industries. With the support of the Foreign Trade Division, relevant enterprises in Shanxi Province have also actively participated in overseas exhibitions organized by the Association many times and achieved the expected results. He expressed gratitude for this and hoped to continue strengthening contact and in-depth cooperation in the future to jointly provide good services for Shanxi construction machinery enterprises going global.

The relevant person in charge of the Foreign Trade Division extended a warm welcome to the Association's delegation, expressed gratitude for the exchange on industry conditions and domestic and international exhibitions, and introduced the Foreign Trade Division, stating that it has always been committed to supporting relevant enterprises in Shanxi's construction machinery industry to actively go global, and that certain results have been achieved through practice in recent years. Next, it hopes to cooperate in depth with the Association, leveraging and combining the Association's industry advantages, professional advantages, and the advantages of hosting and cooperating on domestic and international exhibitions, based on the new development stage, implementing the new development philosophy, actively building a new development pattern, and further promoting foreign trade and exchanges in Shanxi's construction machinery industry.

Finally, the relevant person in charge of the Foreign Trade Division thanked the Association for the invitation to attend BICES 2023 and stated that arrangements will be made in advance and active participation will be taken at that time, in order to further understand the development of the construction machinery industry, grasp the exhibition participation of construction machinery enterprises in Shanxi Province, and make preparations and lay a foundation for subsequently better serving construction machinery enterprises in Shanxi Province.
