On July 4, China Railway Fourth Survey and Design Institute released a tender announcement for supplementary preliminary survey geophysical prospecting for the Jiaozuo-Pingdingshan Railway and for detailed survey drilling subcontracting for the Luoyang Yellow River Grand Bridge (road-rail combined construction section). The project's feasibility study approval work is being accelerated.
The Jiaozuo-Luoyang-Pingdingshan section of the Hohhot-Nanning High-Speed Railway passed the feasibility study review by China State Railway Group on June 10 this year, and the entire line has now entered the feasibility study revision (supplementary preliminary survey) stage; the controlling project, the Luoyang Yellow River Road-Rail Grand Bridge, has entered the preliminary design stage, and the design unit is further revising and improving the alignment scheme based on the feasibility study review comments, striving to complete the feasibility study approval within the year.

According to the tender announcement:
The Jiaozuo-Luoyang-Pingdingshan Railway alignment starts laterally from the Jueshan track connection of the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo High-Speed Railway, crosses over the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo High-Speed Railway and the Dan River via the controlled construction zone of the Zhu Zaiyu Tomb, then establishes a connecting line (Tangzhuang track connection) to connect with Jiaozuo West Station; after crossing the Qin River it immediately turns west and sets up Qinyang West Station at Xiazhuang Village on the west side of Qinyang City; after departing the station it crosses the Erguang Expressway and the Mang River and then sets up Jiyuan East Station; thereafter it runs south along the west side of G208, and then jointly builds a road-rail dual-purpose bridge with the reconstructed G208 to cross the Yellow River;
After crossing the Erguang Expressway twice, it runs along the corridor on the west side of the Erguang Expressway, enters and exits Luoyang Longmen Station from east to west, then runs along the corridor on the east side of the Ningluo Expressway to cross the North Ru River, and sets up Ruzhou South Station on the south bank of the Ru River; after departing the station it heads south, crosses over the main canal of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, then turns west to set up a connecting line (Zhouzhuang track connection) to connect with the Nanyang direction of the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, and then connects into the Pingdingshan West Station Pingdingshan-Luohe-Zhoukou yard of the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway, running straight through with the proposed Pingdingshan-Luohe-Zhoukou High-Speed Railway.
The project's newly built main line is 221.237 km long, with a total of 6 stations: Qinyang West, Jiyuan East, Luoyang Longmen (reconstructed), Yichuan East, Ruzhou South, and Pingdingshan West (existing) (the final scheme is subject to feasibility study approval).
Among them, the road-rail combined construction section of the Luoyang Yellow River Road-Rail Grand Bridge on the Jiaozuo-Pingdingshan Railway is 3,408.055 m long, running parallel to the existing National Highway G208, with the Erguang Expressway Yellow River Grand Bridge 1 km downstream.
The planned total workload for the project's geological drilling is 76 boreholes/6,391 meters, with a planned total construction period of 30 calendar days.
