On June 14, 2023, Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jinxing of the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") and his delegation visited Tianjin to hold an industry work exchange symposium with relevant branch organizations. Other attendees included: Song Jinyun, Director of the Association's Standards and Regulations Department; Sun Rui, Director of the Training Department; and Wang Dayu, Deputy Director of the Science, Technology and Quality Department; Gong Liqiang, Deputy General Manager of Tianjin Construction Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tiangong Institute") and President of the Association's Construction Machinery Components Branch; Liu Yanfang, Deputy General Manager; and Shang Haibo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Association's Earthmoving Machinery Branch and Aftermarket Production and Sales Branch; Jia Xiaowen, Secretary-General of the Association's Construction Machinery Components Branch; Yan Kun, Secretary-General of the Earthmoving Machinery Branch; Zhang Hongmei, Secretary-General of the Academic Work Committee; Zhao Liyuan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Excavating Machinery Branch; and Yin Tao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Aftermarket Production and Sales Branch.

Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jinxing first expressed gratitude to Tiangong Institute, as a supporting organization, for its strong support of the Association and industry work, and affirmed the achievements made by the five branch organizations in Tianjin in carrying out industry work over the years. He focused on exchanging views and proposing work arrangements for the branch organizations to organize industry-related activities during this year's BICES 2023 exhibition, and conducted full exchanges on the Association's main business work, including group standards, vocational training, and scientific and technological achievement appraisal. He particularly emphasized the important significance of the group standard "Definition and Classification of Construction Machinery," which is planned to be revised and completed this year, and expressed the hope that publicity and participation work would be done well for the development of the national vocational skill standard for "Construction Machinery Assembly and Commissioning Workers." Wang Jinxing also highly recognized Tiangong Institute's technical, research, and standards support work for the construction machinery industry, and pointed out that the Association will continue to strengthen close ties with all branch organizations, deepen cooperative development with Tiangong Institute, provide more high-quality services to industry enterprises, and jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of the construction machinery industry.

On behalf of Tiangong Institute, Deputy General Manager Gong Liqiang warmly welcomed the visit of Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jinxing and his delegation, and thanked the Association for its guidance and support of the branch organizations' work. Gong Liqiang briefly introduced the current development status of Tiangong Institute, which, in accordance with the strategic plan of its superior unit to "forge SINOMACH's strengths and serve the nation's needs," actively gives play to the functions of a research institute. Gong Liqiang stated that Tiangong Institute is a vice-presidential unit of the Association and, as a major technical support organization, will continue as always to support all work of the BICES exhibition. He also hoped that the Association would give Tiangong Institute more platform exchanges and all-round cooperative sharing. Tiangong Institute will also fully support the work of each branch organization, enabling Tiangong Institute and the Association to form a close community dedicated to promoting industry technological progress.

Director Song Jinyun provided interpretation and introduction from the perspectives of policies related to the introduction of group standards and the Association's work in carrying out group standards; Director Sun Rui exchanged views on the formulation of national vocational skill standards, the promotion of training and evaluation activities, and enterprise credit rating evaluation work; Deputy Director Wang Dayu reported on two tasks: scientific and technological achievement appraisal and multi-sample reliability statistics for excavators.

Deputy General Manager Liu Yanfang stated that Tiangong Institute, as a comprehensive research institute in the construction machinery industry, fully leverages its institutional functions in engineering basic research, testing and inspection, standards support, and platform development, provides solid technical support, and actively promotes the overall development of the construction machinery industry. She also focused on exchanging ideas and directions for future development and cooperation regarding the Association's group standards, vocational training, and scientific and technological achievement appraisal work.

Deputy Secretary Shang Haibo put forward good suggestions specifically on the revision of the group standard "Definition and Classification of Construction Machinery," and exchanged ideas on the work carried out by the two branch organizations, the Earthmoving Machinery Branch and the Aftermarket Production and Sales Branch. He hoped that the two branch organizations would provide more cooperation and support for the Association's various work and better serve industry development.

Representatives of the branch organizations attending the meeting respectively reported on the progress of work in their professional fields, and focused on exchanging views on recent activity arrangements, reaching broad consensus. In particular, they will continue to carry out extensive publicity and mobilization within the industry for the BICES 2023 exhibition to be held this September, and actively organize and plan supporting activities in professional fields. They also stated that today's exchange further enhanced their understanding of the importance of group standards in boosting industry development, and that in the future they will increase efforts in expanding work such as scientific and technological achievement evaluation and vocational ability training, providing all-round support and services to industry member enterprises.

At this symposium, through full and in-depth exchanges centering on the Association's relevant annual key work tasks, it is hoped that the Association and all branch organizations will coordinate from top to bottom, pool wisdom and efforts, continue to deepen industry and member service work, and contribute new strength to the high-quality development of the construction machinery industry. After the meeting, Tiangong Institute leaders also accompanied Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jinxing and his delegation on a visit to Tiangong Institute's Machinery Industry Construction Machinery and Hydraulic Parts Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, the Information and Intelligent Technology Research Institute, and other facilities.
