On June 14, the 2023 SAP China Summit themed "Innovation Empowers High-Quality Development" was grandly held in Beijing, bringing together thousands of industry experts, business leaders and SAP partners, while the online livestream attracted nearly one million participants.

The conference focused on digital acceleration, global expansion and sustainable development, exploring how SAP can leverage innovative technologies to help Chinese enterprises stand firm today and win in the future. Yang Dongsheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, attended and participated in the summit dialogue.

At the conference, Huang Chenhong, SAP Global Executive Vice President and President of Greater China, delivered a keynote speech and invited Yang Dongsheng to exchange and share views on XCMG's global development, digital strategy and high-quality development.

As a leading enterprise in China's construction machinery industry, XCMG Group has a long history of 80 years, accumulating not only a profound culture of greatness but also a solid industrial foundation. Its operating scale has exceeded 100 billion yuan for three consecutive years, and it is the only Chinese construction machinery manufacturer to rank among the global top three for three consecutive years.

Speaking of XCMG's global development, Yang Dongsheng said that XCMG's globalization is a microcosm of the global development of China's construction machinery industry. As a fully competitive industry, China's construction machinery industry has, through nearly 40 years of exploration and practice, embarked on a difficult and tortuous yet fruitful path of internationalization.
Yang Dongsheng pointed out that the global development of construction machinery can be divided into three stages: "going out", "going in" and "going up". At present, XCMG has moved from the initial "going out" stage of trade exports to the "going in" stage of deep local cultivation, and is accelerating its march toward the "going up" stage.
Today, XCMG has formed a "four-in-one" international development model of product exports, overseas plant construction, cross-border mergers and acquisitions and global collaborative R&D. It has nearly 40 overseas subsidiaries and 330 overseas dealers, with products exported to more than 190 countries and regions, covering over 95% of the countries and regions along the Belt and Road, and is placing greater emphasis on high-quality development and the expansion of high-end markets.

Yang Dongsheng emphasized that internationalization is the only path for XCMG to ride out industry cycles, build a century-old enterprise and become a world-class company. XCMG will focus on four aspects to support the development of its internationalization master strategy, comprehensively enhancing its scale competitiveness, product competitiveness, channel competitiveness, service competitiveness and digital platform support:

At present, XCMG's "Chairman's No. 1 Project" — the intelligent transformation and digital transition project — has been fully launched, supporting the high-quality development of XCMG's strategy with a steady stream of powerful new digital and intelligent forces. At the conference, Huang Chenhong invited Yang Dongsheng to further discuss the "intelligent transformation and digital transition".
Yang Dongsheng said that digitalization and green development are the only path for XCMG to transform and innovate and achieve high-quality development. Starting with the diagnosis and analysis of the current business situation, XCMG has formulated a "six classics and six latitudes" blueprint and roadmap for intelligent transformation and digital transition, established a process template for global governance, and designed end-to-end business process connectivity to support the efficient operation of the company's processes, organization, systems and data, accelerating enterprise transformation and innovation and stimulating new momentum for development.
