On June 5, 2023, with the smooth pouring of the last truck of concrete, the construction of all in-water pier pile foundations for the Yellow River Grand Bridge by the First Division of the Xiongshang High-Speed Railway project of China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group was completed, marking another breakthrough over difficulties and another phased victory for the project, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.

The First Division of the Xiongshang High-Speed Railway project focused on progress as its central task, with ensuring safety and quality as the foundation, and took the labor competition "Win the Golden Cup for Units, Win the Red Flag for Key Projects" launched by the bureau as an opportunity to organize meticulously, reverse-schedule plans, and advance project construction with lightning speed and determination to win.

The project department seized sunny days and fought through rainy days, resolutely grasping the favorable golden construction period, continuously overcoming many difficulties such as high construction difficulty and high safety risks, and ultimately completed the node target smoothly, completing the in-water pier pile foundation construction of the Yellow River Grand Bridge on schedule before the main flood season, providing a strong guarantee for the subsequent construction of pile caps and pier bodies.

As of now, the First Division of the Xiongshang High-Speed Railway project has completed 1,052 pile foundations, 13 pile caps, and 9 pier bodies.
The Xiongshang High-Speed Railway is an important component of the Beijing-Hong Kong (Taiwan) corridor of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network; it is important infrastructure supporting and leading the in-depth development of China's three major strategies—the "Belt and Road," "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development," and the "Yangtze River Economic Belt." Once completed, it will help advance the millennium project of building the "Xiong'an New Area" and promote social and economic development in areas along the line.

The pre-station works Section 11 of the Xiong'an New Area to Shangqiu section of the Beijing-Xiong'an-Shangqiu High-Speed Railway, undertaken by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, starts in Taiqian County, Puyang City, Henan Province on the north bank of the Yellow River, and ends in Jining City, Shandong Province on the south bank of the Yellow River, with a total length of 17.32 kilometers.
The main construction content is the Yellow River Grand Bridge, the only controlling project of the entire line. Its main bridge is a 1,600-meter continuous steel truss girder flexible arch spanning the Yellow River; once completed, it will be the large-span high-speed railway ballastless track steel bridge with the longest continuous length in China.
