Recently, eight rotary drilling rigs led by the XCMG XR450E stood scattered across the construction site on Guanlan Avenue in Longhua District, Shenzhen. As an urban renewal project, XCMG's large-tonnage rotary drilling rigs, with powerful drive and stable rock-penetration capability, are driving building foundation piles deep into the ground to help build 'Shenzhen Height'.

In the first phase of the urban renewal project on Guanlan Avenue in Longhua District, Shenzhen, four super-high-rise buildings are planned above ground, with heights of 179.2, 176.7, 225.1 and 112.6 meters respectively, and a five-story basement is planned underground.

Due to the height and large volume of the buildings, the foundations supporting the high-rises use retaining piles and engineering piles, with pile diameters of 1.6-2.6 meters and pile depths of 40-50 meters, ensuring the stability of the building pile foundations.

At the project site, a total of eight rotary drilling rigs of four models—XCMG XR400D, XR460D, XR360E and XR450E—are present at the same time, with XCMG piling equipment accounting for 73% of the project. The eight 'giants' stand tall with heads held high, and seen from afar they form the site's main structural pillars.

The site geology is dominated by strong weathering, with rock penetration beginning at about 8 meters. The 'XCMG Gold' team led by the large-tonnage XCMG XR450E rotary drilling rig tackles the challenge as a group. Its hydraulic system responds quickly and offers excellent controllability, allowing main pump power to be adjusted according to working conditions; the auxiliary system adopts load-sensing control technology, improving overall construction efficiency by 20%.
