Recently, the slurry balance shield machine "Jianshun" jointly developed by CRCC Heavy Industry and Shanghai Foundation was rolled off the production line at CRCC Heavy Industry's First Industrial Park. The equipment has an excavation diameter of approximately 9.3 meters and a total weight of about 1,075 tons, and will be used in the tunnel construction of Section JCXSG-13 of the Airport Link Line of the Shanghai Rail Transit suburban line.

"Jianshun" slurry balance shield machine

The shield-driven section of this project is 3,013 meters long, with a maximum buried depth of 51 meters at the tunnel invert, imposing high requirements on shield strength and overall sealing reliability. Along the tunnel alignment, the shield passes beneath important structures such as the South U-turn Ramp, the Shenjiahu Expressway, the Airport Satellite Hall, and the S1~T4 APM tunnel section, imposing high requirements on the precision of surface settlement control. In addition, the section requires long-distance tunneling in full-face grayish-yellow to gray silty sand layers, imposing high requirements on the wear resistance of the cutterhead, cutting tools, and the entire machine.

In response to the key difficulties of the project, the CRCC Heavy Industry R&D team carried out a series of targeted designs for the "Jianshun" slurry balance shield machine. The equipment is equipped with a high-precision gas-liquid pressure balance control system, an intelligent excavation management system, a high-pressure-bearing main drive and tail seal, and automatic measurement of shield tail clearance, among others, greatly improving the geological adaptability of the shield machine and ensuring safe and efficient shield tunnel construction.

Due to the short online assembly cycle of "Jianshun", CRCC Heavy Industry formulated a detailed assembly and commissioning plan, ensured close linkage between preceding and subsequent processes during production, and strictly implemented the process for each procedure to guarantee product quality, ultimately ensuring that the schedule and quality of "Jianshun" advanced in parallel, with all performance indicators of the equipment meeting the customer's predetermined targets.
