On May 16, the 5th XCMG International Customer Festival officially kicked off in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, the capital of China's construction machinery industry.

At this grand event, nearly 30 XCMG new energy products across 10 major categories, including the XCMG XRE268 rotary drilling rig, were showcased in formation. The highly intelligent, energy-efficient, and low-carbon environmentally friendly equipment dazzled customers from various countries, attracting a large number of visitors who stopped to admire and take photos.

The XRE268 rotary drilling rig is widely used for drilling cast-in-place concrete piles in the construction of highways, railways, bridges, large venues, and other projects, and is particularly suitable for civil and industrial building engineering. It adopts either a locking-type or friction-type drill pipe, working in conjunction with rotary bucket tools such as sand-grabbing buckets, core barrels, or short augers.

The engine and lithium battery of the XRE268 hybrid rotary drilling rig simultaneously provide energy to the rig, delivering abundant power to meet the requirements of various complex working conditions, while significantly reducing overall noise, emissions, and fuel consumption.
For light-load operations or conditions such as relocating and loading onto trailers, the XRE268 can be operated in pure electric mode, in which energy is supplied solely by the lithium battery, resulting in extremely low noise; it can also be operated in plug-in mode, connected via cable to an external power grid for high-power input.
The power head and main winch adopt high-power motor direct drive, improving overall working performance by 20%. The electrically driven main winch features drill pipe potential energy recovery and power generation, with the generated electricity charged into the battery. The main and auxiliary hydraulic systems adopt load-sensing control technology for energy efficiency.

The full touchscreen display offers a clear interface and convenient operation; the intelligent control system enables automatic adjustment and display of mast verticality; it features functions such as one-key soil shaking of the winch, one-key soil spinning of the power head, automatic wire rope tensioning upon winch floating touchdown, and intelligent power regulation of the electric drive system.
The three-electric system (battery, motor, electronic control) enjoys an extended warranty of 5 years or 10,000 hours.

Focusing on new energy R&D, XCMG Foundation's five major product segments are vigorously developing new energy products and core components such as electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered equipment. It has successively launched products including pure electric horizontal directional drilling rigs, electric monorail hoists, and hybrid rotary drilling rigs, continuously advancing green factories, green R&D, and green construction across the entire value chain, achieving green development on the new energy track.
