On March 30, the award ceremony of the First Hunan Provincial Advanced Manufacturing Technology Innovation Competition was held in Changsha. Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians Gui Weihua, Wang Yaonan, and Wu Yiqiang attended the ceremony and presented awards to the winning representatives. SUNWARD's Zhu Jianxin was honored with the 'Leading Figure Award' of the First Hunan Provincial Advanced Manufacturing Technology Innovation Competition.

Zhu Jianxin is Deputy General Manager of Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., a professor and doctoral supervisor at Central South University, an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, a national candidate of the New Century Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project, a model worker of Hunan Province, and a deputy to the 13th and 14th People's Congress of Hunan Province. He has been deeply engaged in the engineering machinery industry for more than 30 years, and has long been devoted to the R&D and engineering application of mechatronics-hydraulics integration and intelligent technologies for engineering equipment. In particular, he has made important contributions to the basic theory, engineering technology, and industrialization of achievements in engineering machinery fields such as foundation construction equipment and complete solutions, and modern rock drilling equipment. His scientific research achievements have won one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, four First Prizes and two Second Prizes of provincial and ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards. A number of technological achievements have led the technological progress of foundation construction and equipment, and he has obtained more than 130 authorized patents, participated in the compilation of 3 books, and published more than 150 academic papers; he has trained nearly 40 doctoral and master's students. He has always led the R&D team with a strong sense of mission and responsibility, leading the enterprise to overcome key core technologies, promoting enterprise transformation and upgrading, and contributing wisdom and strength to 'Intelligent Manufacturing in China'.

It is reported that the First Hunan Provincial Advanced Manufacturing Technology Innovation Competition is a high-standard and high-level science and technology innovation selection activity held in the advanced manufacturing sector in Hunan Province in recent years. The competition was hosted by the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Market Supervision Administration, and the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee, with the theme of 'New Technology, New Hunan'. The competition set up three tracks: advanced manufacturing technology innovation, technology innovation figures, and technology innovation enterprises, with a review committee composed of academicians and experts. A total of 271 entries were collected, including 126 in the technology track, 77 in the figure track, and 68 in the enterprise track. The entries covered major characteristic industries in the province such as rail transit, engineering machinery, electronic information, biomedicine, small and medium-sized aero engines, nonferrous metallurgy, and advanced materials. After the preliminary round, semifinal roadshow defense, final review, and public announcement stages, ten technology innovation figures, ten major technology innovation enterprises, and ten major technology innovation technologies were finally selected.
