On March 15, CABR held the Quarterly Review Meeting on the Implementation of the Special Project "Research and Demonstration of Integrated Low-Carbon Carbon-Neutral Design Methods and Technologies for Towns and Cities" and the Kick-off Meeting for the Compilation of the Dual-Carbon Book Series. Wang Qingqin, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CABR, Shen Yuanqin, Director-General-Level Official of China Architecture & Building Press, and Fan Yeshu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Chang Weihua, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Standards.

Wang Qingqin welcomed the visit of China Architecture & Building Press and noted that the two sides have a solid foundation for cooperation. This time, they will jointly advance the compilation of the dual-carbon book series with high standards and strict requirements, create benchmark monographs for the industry, and enhance the company's influence in the dual-carbon field. He put forward five requirements for the work of each research group: first, focus on the relevance of results—outputs such as standards, patents, publications, new methods, software, and demonstration projects should be closely related to low carbon; second, take high-visibility and high-level results as stage goals and solidly advance research; third, ensure tasks are completed according to milestone nodes, accelerate progress, and resolutely fulfill the assessment indicators set in the task statements; fourth, assessment indicators may be appropriately adjusted but not lowered, and research groups are encouraged to actively apply for local science and technology awards.

Shen Yuanqin expressed gratitude for CABR's support and noted that the dual-carbon book series closely follows national policies and industry hotspots. As leading and guiding works for the industry, the series will play a positive role in the development of construction science and technology. He also expressed the hope to receive CABR's support in three areas: accelerating digital transformation, strengthening think tank development, and promoting paper publications. Fan Yeshu said that the press attaches great importance to the dual-carbon book series and aims to "create premium works and build a brand," supporting the publication of the series, leveraging new media advantages to strengthen publicity and promotion, and enhancing the series' influence.

At the meeting, the leaders of the 10 special research groups reported on project progress, phased research results, and next-step priorities. Cao Dandan, an editor at China Architecture & Building Press, introduced the compilation schedule, writing requirements, and later-stage promotion of the book series.
