To implement Tianjin's 33 policy measures for stabilizing the economy in the first quarter and accelerate the construction progress of the Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway, a working group jointly formed by the Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission, the Tianjin Municipal Development and Reform Commission and other departments recently held an on-site coordination meeting at the project department of the initial section of the Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway undertaken by China Railway 14th Bureau Group.

At the meeting, the Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission, the Tianjin Municipal Development and Reform Commission and other units spoke highly of the progress of the project construction by China Railway 14th Bureau Group. The meeting noted that since the China Railway 14th Bureau Group's Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway project team entered the site, preliminary work has been advanced with urgency and efficiency, construction organization support has been scientific and robust, and resumption of work and production has been steady and orderly, laying a solid foundation for achieving a strong start in the first quarter.

The initial section of the Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway undertaken by China Railway 14th Bureau Group is located in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, and mainly includes one Jingu Haihe River Tunnel and one subgrade section, with a total length of nearly 7.5 kilometers. As a key project of the entire Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway line, this construction section is large in scale and quantity, and its engineering organization and management are difficult.

Since entering the site, the project team has adhered to planning first and completed preliminary project planning at the fastest speed; upheld the principle of "co-construction and win-win" and advanced preliminary land acquisition and demolition work with high efficiency; highlighted key and difficult points and strengthened control of critical work nodes; and implemented the "three modernizations and one innovation" approach to build a high-standard, era-defining quality project.

In the first quarter of 2023, with outstanding results in multiple aspects across the entire line, the project achieved a sound situation of "leading from the start and sprinting from the outset."

The first laboratory on the entire line to pass acceptance

On January 10, the project department's central laboratory successfully passed the assessment and acceptance of the owner and the supervision unit, marking that the laboratory became the first central laboratory among all participating construction units of the Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway to successfully pass acceptance and has met the conditions for carrying out testing and inspection work. The laboratory building covers an area of about 1,650 square meters and is divided into three functional areas: office area, testing operation area and living area.

The first newly built project camp on the entire line to pass acceptance and be occupied

On January 10, the project camp construction was completed and passed acceptance. On January 11, the project department camp was occupied, becoming the first newly built project camp on the entire Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway line to pass acceptance and be occupied.

Hosting the first Party building cloud classroom on the entire line

On January 16, the Party branch of the Tianjin Command Headquarters of Xiong'an High-Speed Railway Company organized a Party building co-construction cloud classroom activity themed "Studying the Spirit of the 20th National Congress" for the entire Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway line. The project department meeting room served as the main venue for hosting the first Party building cloud classroom on the entire line.

The first completed steel reinforcement processing plant on the entire line

On January 17, the project's steel reinforcement processing plant was completed, becoming the first completed steel reinforcement processing plant on the entire Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway line.

The first section on the entire line to complete test piles

On January 18, the project successfully completed its first test piles, becoming the first unit on the entire Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway line to complete test piles.

The first mixing plant on the entire line to pass acceptance

On January 18, the project's mixing plant was completed and passed acceptance, becoming the first mixing plant on the entire line to pass acceptance.

Once completed, the Tianjin-Weifang High-Speed Railway will help address shortcomings in high-speed railway development in coastal areas such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Shandong Peninsula, form a new high-capacity rapid corridor in the eastern part of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway within the regional railway network, and significantly enhance connectivity between the Yellow River Delta and city clusters such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta.
