On February 6, two consecutive magnitude-7.8 earthquakes struck Turkey, causing heavy casualties and property losses. In response to the sudden disaster, SANY Group and its local dealers quickly launched earthquake relief operations and successfully rescued multiple people.

At around 16:00 on February 7, a 12-member rescue team organized by SANY's Southeast Europe Region arrived in Adana and Ankara, Turkey, to prepare for rescue operations. It was among the first rescue teams to coordinate with the Chinese national rescue team.
At around 17:00, the SANY Emergency Rescue Command Headquarters in Turkey raised its flag, and a 24-hour service task force was established.

At 17:30, under the emergency coordination of Putzmeister, a SANY subsidiary, and SANY's various host-machine business units, one 60-ton SANY rough-terrain crane and three excavators (two 23.5-ton and one 6.5-ton) were the first to arrive in the disaster area and were immediately deployed for local rescue.

Under unified local command, the SANY rescue team assisted in search-and-rescue excavation and door-to-door inspections of collapsed buildings in the Hatay area. After 16 hours of continuous search and rescue, the SANY team has so far successfully rescued four people in a Hatay city community, including one child.

At the same time, SANY Group also established contact with Governor Kadir Ekinci, the disaster relief head in the Islahiye area, through the Turkish Private Enterprise Association, to facilitate the SANY rescue team with permits and other conveniences.
At 20:00 on February 7, Putzmeister completed the procurement of its first batch of relief supplies, including search-and-rescue equipment, medicines and more than 200 sets of cold-weather clothing, and immediately dispatched them to the disaster area.

In China, SANY Group, together with the SANY Foundation, dispatched two structural-collapse rescue experts from Beijing Capital International Airport to the disaster area; they are expected to arrive on February 9.

Intensive search-and-rescue work is still underway, and a large number of additional SANY rescue personnel, equipment and supplies are rushing to the scene to help the local area overcome the crisis.
There is a Turkish proverb: "Dost kara günde belli olur" (A friend in need is a friend indeed). As an international Chinese enterprise, SANY Group has traveled thousands of miles to help, for the sole sake of putting life first — extending a helping hand in times of adversity and showing true friendship, working together to build a community with a shared future for mankind!
