Recently, the Guanghua Intercity project team of Shanghai Yuanfang Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd. delivered the foundation pit support works on schedule to the Fourth Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway 12th Bureau Group, and received full recognition from the client in many aspects such as project quality, management model, schedule control, and karst cave geological treatment. The Fourth Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Railway 12th Bureau Group specially awarded Shanghai Yuanfang the honorary banner of "Outstanding Subcontractor," expressing high recognition of Shanghai Yuanfang's professional construction strength and rigorous and pragmatic work style.

Shanghai Yuanfang is fully responsible for the construction of the foundation pit support structure of the shield shaft in the section from Yundongping Station to Baiyun City Center Station of the Guanghua Intercity project. This project adopts underground diaphragm walls as the support structure and waterproof curtain of the shield shaft, realizing the dual use of the underground diaphragm wall structure, meeting the design requirements in terms of support quality and anti-seepage performance, while also offering good economy and environmental friendliness. In light of the hydrogeological conditions of the area, the project adopts the combined process of "rotary drilling, grabbing, and milling" for trenching construction. The company specially invested 5 rotary drilling rigs, 1 trenching machine, and 3 double-wheel trench cutters in this project to improve construction efficiency, assisting China Railway 12th Bureau in successfully completing the schedule task and achieving the excellent result of first place in construction progress across the entire line. In addition, the construction site is located in a karst cave development area, with a cave encounter rate as high as 90%, making construction highly difficult. Drawing on Shanghai Yuanfang's previous construction experience in karst development areas such as Guangzhou Tangxi Station and Hangzhou Wenyi West Road, and under the leadership of project manager Si Daofeng, the project team formulated a scientific and effective karst treatment plan, successfully overcoming the difficulty of trenching in karst development areas and ensuring the quality of the foundation pit support structure.
