On the afternoon of November 17, the "Launch Ceremony for Accelerating the Construction of a National Important Advanced Manufacturing Center" and the "Promotion Meeting on Building a World-Class Construction Machinery Industrial Cluster," hosted by the Changsha Municipal People's Government and organized by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Association, and the Changsha Construction Machinery Industry Chain Promotion Office, were successfully held at the Changsha Beichen International Conference Center. Wu Guiying, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech and witnessed the signing of agreements; Zheng Jianxin, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Mayor, and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area, delivered a speech. Huang Baolin, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology; municipal leaders Wen Shuxun, Zhu Dongtie, Liu Yongbing, and Qiu Jixing; and Guan Bing, Director of the Industrial Economics Research Institute of the China Center for Information Industry Development, attended. This event thoroughly implemented the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Hunan to "strive to build a national important advanced manufacturing highland," comprehensively summarized the experience of construction machinery industrial cluster development, built consensus among cluster enterprises, accelerated the construction of a national important advanced manufacturing center, helped build a world-class construction machinery industrial cluster, and supported the accelerated implementation of the province's "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" strategy.

He Qinghua, the current chairman, said in his speech that Sunward, as the current chairman unit of the Changsha Construction Machinery Association, fully affirmed the large amount of effective work done by the association over the past year in serving as the "network builder," "promoter," "pioneer," and "organizer" of cluster development and in promoting the city's construction machinery industrial cluster to lead the country toward the globe. He Qinghua proposed that building a national advanced manufacturing center and a world-class construction machinery industrial cluster requires elevating the understanding of innovation to the height of enterprise "quality," cultivating an awareness of "premium products," forging "high-end products," and also building a benign and healthy competitive ecosystem for construction machinery.

It is understood that after the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the cultivation of advanced manufacturing clusters, the Changsha construction machinery industrial cluster was successfully selected into the first batch of the "national team" this year. Sunward participated in four projects this time: the research and application project of key technologies for energy-saving hydraulic hybrid construction machinery; the key technology and industrialization project of self-propelled full-slewing full-casing drilling rigs; the key technology and industrialization project of high-performance fully hydraulic crawler pile frames and complete equipment; and the development project of high-efficiency and energy-saving fully hydraulic drill rigs. Among them, the key technology and industrialization project of self-propelled full-slewing full-casing drilling rigs won the first prize of the 2019 China Innovation Method Competition, while the other projects are either domestic firsts or breakthroughs against international monopolies.
