连日来，在中老铁路第一长隧安定隧道内，建设者们正有序地开展扫尾工作，为保通车做最后冲刺。
安定隧道位于元江哈尼族彝族傣族自治县境内，全长17.5公里，是中老铁路全线最长隧道，为一级高风险隧道。隧道共穿越20条断层，集有害气体、岩溶、软岩、涌水、高地应力、高地热等不良地质于一体，其工程规模、建设难度与工程风险在国内铁路隧道施工领域都极为罕见。2016年9月25日安定隧道进口开工建设，2020年11月28日全隧贯通，2021年2月21日隧道无砟轨道浇筑完成。
中老铁路全线由国内段和老挝段组成，全长1000多公里。目前，中老铁路全线各建设点都在为年底保通车做最后攻坚。
