The Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway Capacity Expansion Project undertaken by China Railway 23rd Bureau Group Co., Ltd. is one step closer to completion and opening to traffic! On the morning of November 4, with the successful erection of the last precast T-beam on the Lianghejiang Grand Bridge of the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway Capacity Expansion Project, all the "six bridges and six tunnels" control works of the project have been completed, marking that all T-beams along the entire line have been erected.

The Lianghejiang Grand Bridge of the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway Capacity Expansion Project is located in Anwen Town, Qijiang District, Chongqing. The bridge is a dual-carriageway separated bridge with a main span of 84 spans, a maximum pier height of 102 meters, and a total of 526 T-beams, making it the tallest and longest-span bridge on the entire line.

According to reports, the bridge crosses the Lianghe River and the Chongqing-Guizhou section of the G75 Lanzhou-Haikou Expressway, passes under the Chongqing-Guizhou Railway, crosses National Highway G210 twice, and intersects with oil pipelines, power plant water pipelines and other pipelines at multiple points. It combines deep foundations, group piles, high piers and large spans, featuring great construction technical difficulty, high safety control risks and many "hard bones" in construction, and is one of the key and difficult control works on the entire line.

The person in charge of the project site introduced that in order to ensure the scheduled opening of the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway Capacity Expansion Project, during the cast-in-place construction of the 0# block of the main piers No. 17 to No. 19, the project developed the "construction method for assembled bracket of bridges". Through reverse preloading at the pier bottom, this method reduces the work originally required at a height of 100 meters to an operation at a distance of less than 6 meters from the ground, and uses multiple sensors to collect data and conduct force analysis, making the relevant conclusions more scientific and reliable. It not only reduces the danger and uncertainty of high-altitude operations, but also ensures the safety of workers and greatly shortens the construction period.

The tallest pier of the Lianghejiang Grand Bridge is 102 meters, the tallest bridge pier on the entire line. To ensure the vertical accuracy of the pier, the project department established a QC research group to study the verticality of high piers, and won the Class II achievement at the National Engineering Construction Quality Management Group Activity Achievement Exchange Conference.

It is reported that the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway Capacity Expansion Project is one of the important projects of the "three rings, twelve radials and multiple connecting lines" network in Chongqing's 13th Five-Year Plan. The project starts at the Zhongxing Hub Interchange of the Chongqing Ring Expressway, intersects with the Ring Expressway, connects with the planned urban expressway, crosses the Chongqing-Hunan Expressway (G65 Baotou-Maoming) and the Qijiang-Wansheng Expressway, exits the border at Anwen Town, Qijiang, and connects with the Guizhou Chongxi River-Zunyi Expressway Capacity Expansion Project. After the project is completed, it will not only greatly alleviate the congestion of the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway (G75 Lanzhou-Haikou), but also reduce the expressway travel time between Chongqing and Guiyang from more than 4 hours to about 3 hours. At the same time, as an important corridor of the north-south main axis of the Chongqing expressway network, it will form a "dual channel" with the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway for Chongqing to reach the sea via Guizhou to Guangxi.
