Recently, according to the Weifang Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the provincial government has issued the 2021 list of major provincial construction projects. There are 500 projects across the province, involving 42 projects in Weifang, with a total investment of 123.58 billion USD and an annual planned investment of 12.98 billion USD, an increase of 110%, 222%, and 148% respectively over the previous year. Among them, there are 38 locally implemented projects, higher than Jinan, Qingdao, and Yantai (37 in total), ranking first in the province in number; 4 cross-regional implementation projects, and major infrastructure projects for mutual reserve.

From the perspective of advancement stages, there are 32 projects under construction and implementation, with a total investment of 50.69 billion USD and an annual planned investment of 10.28 billion USD; 10 reserve projects, with a total investment of 68.63 billion USD and an annual planned investment of 1.54 billion USD.

From the perspective of total investment, there are 2 projects with a total investment of over 10 billion yuan, 5 projects with a total investment of over 5 billion yuan, and 19 projects with a total investment of over 1 billion yuan. From the perspective of project categories, there are 21 emerging industry projects, with a total investment of 3.882 million yuan, accounting for 50% and 31.4%; 8 infrastructure projects, with a total investment of 65.54 billion USD, accounting for 19% and 53%. The city, Anqiu City, Linqu County, and Binhai District have the largest number of projects, all exceeding 3. Binhai District has the largest total investment, at 13.2 billion; Gaomi City has the largest annual planned investment, at 1.43 billion.
