On October 7, the Dagou Bridge on the Renhuai–Zunyi Expressway, constructed by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, was successfully closed, marking the on-schedule completion of another controlling node along the route and pressing the "fast-forward" button for the project's opening target.

The Renhuai–Zunyi Expressway is part of the G4215 Chengdu–Zunyi link line of the Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway G42 in the National Highway Network Plan (2013–2030), with a total route length of 52.45 km. The Dagou Bridge is a controlling project along the entire route; its main structure is a 66+120+66 m prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame, with piers as high as 76 m and a bridge length of 273.7 m, involving great construction difficulty and high safety risks.

To ensure the smooth closure of the Dagou Bridge, the project department organized meticulously and planned in advance, continuously optimized the construction organization plan, and strictly implemented all safety and quality requirements. With "Party building integration+" as the link, through labor competition activities such as "100 Days of Intensive Work" and "Win the 2021 Critical Battle," the project set up Party member responsibility zones to exercise all-round control over the progress, safety, quality, and environmental and water conservation work of the Dagou Bridge, ensuring that every construction procedure was monitored by dedicated personnel and that project production advanced steadily.

It is understood that the overall progress of the entire Renhuai–Zunyi Expressway has reached about 90%. Once opened to traffic, it will further optimize and improve the national expressway network and the road network structure of Guizhou Province and Zunyi City, and is of great significance to the high-quality development of the Central Guizhou Economic Zone and beyond.
