9月29日，伴随着挖掘机开始凿进，重庆地铁24号线一期工程鹿角车辆段出入段线施工通道正式开工，标志着该工程建设有了新进展。
24号线一期工程起于巴南区鹿角北站，经重庆东站、迎龙站，止于南岸区广阳湾站。工程全长18.9公里，设车站12座。
据介绍，重庆地铁24号线一期工程开通后，将有效提升城市轨道交通南北向的运输能力，增强重庆东站的辐射范围，带动沿线经济发展。
