On September 26, the Dong'an–Quanzhou–Guanyang (Guangxi Section) Expressway of the Quanzhou–Rongxian Highway officially began construction.

It is understood that the Dongguan Expressway is a provincial boundary connecting section of the No. 2 North-South Corridor in the Guangxi expressway network plan. The project starts in Miaotou Town, Quanzhou County, and ends in Xinxu Town, Guanyang County, with a total route length of more than 75 kilometers. The project is being built to a two-way, four-lane expressway standard with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, a total investment of more than 9 billion yuan, and a construction period of three years. Upon completion, the Dongguan Expressway will effectively promote the construction of Guilin as a world-class tourist city and strongly boost the economic and social development of the counties along the route.

The construction of the Dongguan Expressway project is of great significance for strengthening the connection between the urban agglomeration of northern Guangxi and the urban agglomeration of southeastern Guangxi. We will certainly give full play to the overall advantages of China Energy Engineering Corporation's Gezhouba Group and make every effort to build the Dongguan Expressway into a "road to happiness" and a "road to prosperity" for the people of northern Guangxi.
