Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Yuxi New City construction project in Anhua County was held in Yuxi Village, Chengnan District, Anhua. The project is contracted by Sinohydro Bureau 8 Co., Ltd. with an estimated investment of 3.8 billion yuan. This is another major urban construction project in Anhua, building a new city covering 2 million square meters south of the county seat.

Tang Longfei, head of the project construction responsibility unit—Anhua County Meishan Urban Investment Group Co., Ltd.—told reporters that building Yuxi New City is a key project for expanding and upgrading Anhua's county seat, addressing functional shortcomings, extending living space, and optimizing location and transportation. The project is located in the Yuxi area of the county's southern district, starting from Qiaoyang Road in the east, reaching Yuxi Avenue in the south, bordering the intersection of Yuxi North Road and National Highway 536 in the west, and backed by Jixiang Mountain Park in the north. The project has a total planned land area of 1,996,061.94 square meters and a total construction area of 315,287.02 square meters.

In recent years, Anhua County has consistently adhered to the concept of "projects first," comparing strength through industry and judging heroes by projects, continuously increasing investment promotion efforts, and striving to improve project construction mechanisms. Project construction emphasizes "planning," values "promotion," and depends on "building." The Yuxi New City project is a core component of the county seat's north renovation and south construction, expansion and quality improvement, and is an important transportation hub connecting the county seat with the reservoir area and the Qianxiang area.

The Chengnan District Management Committee and Meishan Urban Investment Company are the responsible and construction entities for the Yuxi New City construction project. Tang Longfei stated that they will earnestly strengthen their sense of responsibility, perform their respective duties, cooperate fully, deeply tap the potential of Yuxi area's resource endowments, and strive to build a premium Yuxi New City featuring scenic urban areas, landscaped municipal facilities, and landmark-style architecture. He told reporters that the construction projects include resettlement housing, municipal infrastructure construction, Yuxi Middle School, Yuxi Primary School, a vocational education training base, the Yudai River landscape project, Jixiang Mountain Park, and others, and will be developed into a high-quality urban living main functional new district in Anhua County featuring "quality education, integrated medical and elderly care, thriving commerce, unique cultural tourism, smart city, and ecological livability."
