At 6:56 on August 23, as the cutterhead of the "Zhengxian" No. 2702 shield machine slowly rotated, the right-line shield of the section from Weijianian Station to Shuangshuinian Station on Phase I of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 27 successfully launched, marking that Phase I of Line 27 has officially entered the shield tunneling stage. At this point, all under-construction lines of Chengdu Rail Transit have entered the shield tunneling stage.

Phase I of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 27

Phase I of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 27 starts from Shifo Station in Xindu District in the north and ends at Shuxin Road Station in Qingyang District in the west. It runs from north to west along Xiangcheng Avenue-Wanshi Road-Fenghuang Avenue-Middle Ring Road-Jinfu Road-Shuming Road-Tongyi Road-Jinze Road-Shujiang Road. The line passes through Xindu District, Jinniu District, Chenghua District, and Qingyang District. The total length of the line is 24.86 kilometers, with 23 stations in total, including about 7.51 kilometers of elevated line with 6 stations and 17.35 kilometers of underground line with 17 stations. It can connect and transfer with the existing Line 2, Line 6, Line 5, and Line 1 respectively. After the line is completed and opened to traffic, it will strengthen the transportation connection between northern Chengdu and the central urban area, expand the coverage of rail transit, and improve public transportation conditions for residents along the line.
