8月23日，武汉地铁19号线花山河站北端头建设工地上，“花山壹号”盾构机刀盘徐徐旋转破壁而出，标志着武汉轨道交通19号线工程花山新城站至花山河站区间右线隧道顺利贯通，成为全线第一个贯通的盾构区间。据悉，19号线工程起于武汉火车站，途经武东路、花城大道、花山大道、光谷五路，串联杨春湖副中心、青山区武东、花山生态新城、光谷中心城，止于高新二路站，线路全长约23.2公里，现有车站7座，全为地下站。
