近日，穿越迪拜哈吉尔山脉的铁路隧道正式贯通。虽然长度仅有1.8km，但它却已经成为了阿联酋海湾地区最长的铁路隧道。
该隧道是海湾铁路项目的一部分，项目包括从迪拜到沙迦总长145km的铁路线， 穿过哈吉尔山脉到富查伊拉，其中共包括建设9条山岭隧道，总长6.9km，54座桥梁和20条地下通道。隧道开挖使用钻爆法施工，整条隧道共挖出了超过 50 万吨的岩石，目前正在进行现浇混凝土二衬施工。
