Recently, it was learned from the Provincial Government Major Project Construction Management Office that in the first half of the year, departments at all levels and relevant departments across Gansu Province closely focused on the target task of 7% growth in fixed asset investment, took proactive action, cooperated fully, and advanced efficiently. The construction of provincial major projects in Gansu maintained good work momentum and growth momentum.

From January to June, 208 provincial major projects completed a cumulative investment of 87.674 billion yuan, an increase of 23.146 billion yuan over the same period in 2020, or 35.87%. The annual planned investment completion rate was 46.67%, 10.41 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Among them, 53 of the 70 planned new-start projects have started construction, with a cumulative investment of 22.067 billion yuan, up 23% year on year; 116 continuing projects completed a cumulative investment of 65.446 billion yuan, up 41.9% year on year; 22 preparatory projects completed a cumulative investment of 160 million yuan, accounting for 22.53% of the annual planned investment. The growth rate of the annual planned investment completion rate in all cities and prefectures accelerated noticeably, all exceeding 40%.

By project, among the 70 planned new-start projects, four projects, including the Zhangye Urban Forest Park Construction Project, the Lanzhou Honggu District Haishiwan South Area Shantytown Renovation Education Facilities (High School) Construction Project, the Yongjing County Yellow River Liujiaxia Reservoir Area North Bank Comprehensive Improvement and High-Quality Development Project, and the Longqi Technology (Tianshui) Intelligent Terminal Manufacturing Industrial Park Project, were well organized and advanced quickly, and have exceeded their annual planned investment. Another 11 projects have completed more than 60% of their annual planned investment.
