On July 5, the reporter learned that the much-watched Lankao–Fengqiu section project of the Lanyuan Expressway is progressing in an orderly manner. The project involves an investment of about 7 billion yuan and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2023.
It is understood that the Lankao–Fengqiu section project of the Lanyuan Expressway is one of several expressway projects signed and implemented in our city in recent years, an important part of the expressway network plan of Henan Province, and one of the 12 east-west expressway corridors planned for construction in the province. After completion, the project will, together with the Fengqiu–Yuanyang section of the Lanyuan Expressway, form a new east-west major corridor on the north bank of the Yellow River, which is of great significance for advancing ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin, accelerating the integrated construction of Zhengzhou and Xinxiang, and promoting better and faster integration of Yuanyang, Fengqiu and Lankao counties into the Zhengzhou metropolitan area.
The project starts from the Daguang Expressway in Pandian Township, Fengqiu County, sets up a hub interchange with the Rilan Expressway south of Chengchang Village, Guyang Town, Lankao County, and extends southward to connect with the Lianhuo Expressway. The project has a total length of 30.4 kilometers, of which about 18.3 kilometers are within Fengqiu County. The main line includes 1 extra-large bridge of 8,852 meters, 9 medium and small bridges totaling 458 meters, and 28 culverts; the entire line has 5 interchanges (including 2 hub interchanges), 22 separated interchanges totaling 2,132.5 meters, 23 passages, and 2 overpasses totaling 248 meters; the main line has 1 open service area and 4 ramp toll stations (including 1 ramp toll station at the service area). The estimated total investment is about 7 billion yuan, and the design is for a dual-direction, six-lane expressway with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
At present, for the Lankao–Fengqiu section of the Lanyuan Expressway, 68.5% of the subgrade earthwork has been completed, 96.5% of the culverts, 98.9% of the pile foundations, and 92.4% of the bridge substructure works; 79.9% of the precast beams have been prefabricated, and 84% of the cast-in-place beams have been completed. Within Fengqiu, 2 toll stations will be set up, one south of Shisi Village, Chenqiao Town, and one south of Dongdi, Chengguan Township; the 2 toll stations will open at the same time.
