Recently, the Ke-Zhu Expressway Construction Command was officially established, marking that the Ke-Zhu Expressway project has entered the substantive construction stage. It is reported that the project has passed the preliminary design technical review organized by the Provincial Department of Transport, and the compilation of construction drawing design has been fully launched, with field surveys, measurements, and geological exploration basically completed.

"Next, we will make every effort to advance the project's preliminary approval and construction work. We plan to complete the construction drawing design in August and simultaneously launch the land acquisition work, striving to start construction along the entire line before the end of October this year," said Shan Huagang, Deputy General Manager of Shaoxing Communications Investment Group and Deputy Commander of the Ke-Zhu Expressway Construction Command.

The Ke-Zhu Expressway has a total cost of 16.8156 billion yuan and a design speed of 100 km/h. It starts near Wangqidun Village, Fuquan Subdistrict, Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, intersects with the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway, and together with the connecting line from the Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou Expressway to the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway forms the Fuquan Hub. It passes through Keyan Subdistrict, Lizhu Town, and Hutang Subdistrict in Keqiao District, and Diankou Town and Yaojiang Town in Zhuji City, sets up the Yaojiang Hub in Puxi to connect with the Zhuji-Yongjia Expressway, and ends near the intersection of Xueyuan Road and Puyang Road in Puyang Xincun, Jiyang Subdistrict, Zhuji City, directly connecting to the construction project of the interchange between the Ke-Zhu Expressway and the North Second Ring Road in Zhuji City. The route has a total length of approximately 39.272 kilometers, of which the Keqiao section is about 10.662 kilometers and the Zhuji section is about 28.610 kilometers.

According to the introduction, the Ke-Zhu Expressway is the second convenient expressway connecting Shaoxing urban area (Keqiao) and Zhuji urban area. Once completed, it will enable the two places to be reached within half an hour. Because it connects the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou Expressway and the Zhuji-Yongjia Expressway, the Ke-Zhu Expressway will also improve the expressway network of the Hangzhou metropolitan area, strengthen the rapid connection between Zhuji and Shaoxing urban area and Hangzhou, and promote the integrated development of Hangzhou and Shaoxing.
