According to the Qinghai Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the National Development and Reform Commission recently allocated 91.3 million yuan from the 2021 central budget for key river basin water environment management to Qinghai Province, focusing on supporting the quality and efficiency improvement project of Xining's Sixth Sewage Treatment Plant, the sewage main pipeline laying project in the Xinaichuan River Basin of Huangzhong District, and the rural domestic waste transfer station construction project in four townships of Huangzhong District.

In order to continuously improve the water environment quality of key river basins, steadily enhance the level of water resource security and increase the proportion of good water quality, and promote the overall continuous improvement of water environment quality in key river basins across the province, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission actively reported and coordinated with the National Development and Reform Commission to seek greater national support for key river basin water environment management projects in Qinghai Province. At the same time, in light of the actual conditions of the pilot areas for comprehensive river basin water environment management and sustainable development designated by the national government, it worked with Xining City to carefully apply for projects, strictly review and check them, and promptly submit the proposed plans.

It is understood that once these projects are completed, they will further enhance the sewage treatment capacity of Xining's urban area and achieve full coverage of domestic waste collection and transport in Huangzhong District. At present, the Qinghai Provincial Development and Reform Commission has completed the decomposition and issuance of the investment plan. Next, it will, in due course and together with relevant provincial departments, strengthen supervision and inspection of project implementation, orderly advance project construction progress, and ensure that investment benefits are realized as early as possible.
