On June 18, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation organized an expert review meeting on the feasibility study report for the Yingjing-Leshan Expressway, further accelerating the project's progress. The Yingjing-Leshan Expressway is a provincial expressway network project and an important component of the Ya'an Yingjing-Chongqing Tongliang Expressway. The route starts in Yingjing County, connects with the Ya'an-Xichang Expressway and the planned Qionglai-Lushan-Yingjing Expressway, passes through Wangyu in Yucheng District, Hongya County in Meishan, and Emeishan City in Leshan, and ends in Shizhong District, Leshan City, with a total length of about 99 kilometers, of which about 18 kilometers are within Ya'an. Investment promotion is planned to be completed this year, and construction will begin in 2022.

Once completed, the project will open a new convenient corridor from southeastern Ya'an to Meishan and Leshan, further improving the expressway network of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone, forming a "Three Mountains Tourism Loop" linking Zhougong Mountain, Wawu Mountain, and Emei Mountain, effectively integrating high-quality tourism resources along the route, further enhancing the visibility and influence of scenic areas, and driving tourism economic development along the route.
