Recently, SANY's multi-method rotary drilling rig SR235M made its debut in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, supporting the construction of the Longquan Campus of Hebei General Hospital.

Project Introduction

Shijiazhuang is a National Hygienic City. With economic and social development, people are paying increasing attention to medical and health care. The existing quantity and layout of medical resources at Hebei General Hospital can no longer meet the public's medical needs; therefore, Hebei General Hospital plans to build a new Longquan Campus.

The Longquan Campus project of Hebei General Hospital is located near Dasonglou Village, Shangzhuang Town, Luquan District, Shijiazhuang City, along the west extension of South Second Ring Road and east of Jingzan Highway. The total land area of the project is 7.7129 hectares, with an overall planned construction area of 200,000 square meters; the current phase has a building area of 121,000 square meters.

The construction strata are mainly strongly weathered mudstone, silt layers, and clay, with a pile diameter of 0.8 m and a pile depth of 32 m. The construction strata have relatively low strength, and both the designed pile diameter and pile depth are relatively small, so construction difficulty is not high. The SR235M adopts the rotary drilling method for drilling, equipped with a Φ0.8 m body-opening drilling bucket and a 4×13 m interlocking Kelly bar. It offers strong power, easily penetrates rock, discharges soil quickly, and ensures efficient construction.

Machine Features

Efficient construction: It handles both soil and rock layers and can achieve efficient construction in either. The torque and rotation speed of the power head are adjustable, adapting to different geological conditions and construction methods.

Full-stroke pressurization: A 15-meter extra-long pressurization stroke provides fast pressurization and extraction functions. Due to the secant pile construction on site, which requires extremely high verticality of the pile hole, the customer used two casing sections (8 m + 7 m) on site. This improved the guiding performance of the casing while greatly shortening the time for lowering the casing, improving overall construction efficiency and creating more value for the customer.

Low-headroom mode: The standard mode can be quickly switched to low-headroom mode, allowing construction under bridges and in narrow areas, and even enabling drilling to continue underground.

CFA mode: By replacing a few dedicated attachments, it can quickly switch to the continuous flight auger method, such as a dedicated pulley frame, balance rope device, and soil cleaner. This offers great advantages in soft soil layers.

Customized multi-method capability: Displacement piles, single-axis deep mixing, and CCFA can be quickly customized, easily achieving one machine with multiple functions!

The Longquan Campus will serve as a modern medical facility complex for Hebei General Hospital's future key development of geriatric and rehabilitation disciplines, and together with surrounding planned medical-care integration projects, it will form a demonstration health community integrating medical care, elderly care, and rehabilitation.
