菲律宾公共工程和公路部 (DPWH) 近日宣布，菲律宾第一条山岭长途公路隧道——达沃绕城隧道将于 7 月开工建设。
这条长2.3km的隧道将作为棉兰老岛南部达沃市的绕城隧道的一部分，由日本政府的官方发展援助 (ODA) 通过日本国际协力机构 (Jica) 提供资金。据悉，整个绕城隧道全长将达到45.5km，分为6个标段。
此次施工的是1-1标段的一部分，价值2.75亿美元。目前，隧道施工装备已经陆续运抵菲律宾，用于公路隧道建设。7月的第一周，四台钻机和四台混凝土喷射机将使用新奥法 (NATM) 在 8m 高、10m 宽隧道的南北入口同时开始隧道开挖与支护。
