On May 29, workers were carrying out construction at the entrance and exit of the Xiamen Haicang Subsea Tunnel. The Xiamen Haicang Subsea Tunnel has entered the final construction stage and is expected to be completed and open to traffic in June.
The Haicang Subsea Tunnel has a total length of 7.1 km, including a 6.3 km tunnel section and a 2.8 km sea-crossing span. Once completed, it will become the longest subsea tunnel in Fujian Province.
