该铸钢件结构复杂，重量最大达150吨，需分段吊装，焊接厚度局部达到300毫米，在国内建筑施工现场运用中堪称“国内第一厚焊”。据不完全统计，四个铸钢件对接焊所用焊丝总量高达5.8吨。
