On May 25, construction of the Jiujiang South Road Bridge over the Qingyi River is progressing in an orderly manner. The main pier pile foundation work has been successfully completed ahead of the flood season.

It is understood that the Jiujiang South Road Extension Bridge over the Qingyi River, located between the Ningwu Railway Bridge and the Guangji Bridge, has a total length of 906 meters. The main motor vehicle lanes are dual-direction six-lane, and four stairway bridges and ramp bridges have been designed at both ends of the main bridge sidewalk to facilitate pedestrians and non-motor vehicles getting on and off the bridge. Once completed, it will become an important secondary trunk road for the coordinated development of Jinghu District, the Chengdong area of Jiujiang District, and the eastern area where they join Yijiang District. It is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in November 2022.
