After 19 months of intensive work, the final steel box girder of the Jianzhou Bridge, a controlling project on the Jianyang Airport Avenue, was successfully lifted into place on the 17th, marking the successful closure of the bridge's main structure.

Located at the starting end of Jianyang Airport Avenue and spanning the Tuojiang River, the Jianzhou Bridge has a total length of 580.5 meters, with the longest single span reaching 125 meters. The main bridge has eight lanes in both directions, while the auxiliary bridge has four lanes in both directions. The left auxiliary bridge opened to traffic on November 24, 2020, and the right auxiliary bridge met traffic conditions on February 6, 2021. The entire bridge is scheduled to meet traffic conditions by the end of June 2021. Once completed, it will greatly enhance the original traffic capacity, provide a rapid connection between Jianyang urban area and Tianfu International Airport, and build a window from Airport Avenue to the world.

The successful lifting of the final steel box girder of the Jianzhou Bridge lays a solid foundation for the full opening of the Airport Avenue project. At present, the fourth work section of the Airport Avenue project is making every effort to advance the construction of the bridge deck system and ancillary works of the Jianzhou Bridge, ensuring the project is completed on schedule.
