On May 9, Tianjin Metro Group launched the 2021 labor competition for Tianjin metro projects under the theme "A Brilliant Start to the 14th Five-Year Plan, a Tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC." The reporter learned from the labor competition that, as of now, the main structure of all stations on the southern section of Metro Line 4 has been completed, all tunnel sections have been holed through, all cross passages have been completed, 87% of mainline track laying has been finished, 45% of decoration and finishing work has been completed, 54% of station ancillary structure works have been completed, and train commissioning on the line has been achieved in some sections. The line is expected to open to traffic within this year.

On the northern section of Metro Line 4, 15 of the 16 stations along the line (excluding Xizhan Station, which has already been built) have started construction. Among them, 11 stations are undergoing retaining structure and utility relocation work. At four stations—Langyuan Station, Xizhaozhuang Station, Xiyuzhuang Station, and Nancang Station—the underground diaphragm walls of the retaining structures have all been completed.

On the second phase of Metro Line 6, the main works of all stations have been completed, all shield-driven sections have been holed through, and power supply has been achieved. Mainline track laying is 97% complete, equipment installation is 63% complete, and station ancillary structures are 75% complete. The project has fully entered the station decoration and finishing stage.

On the first phase of Metro Line 7, 17 of the 24 stations along the line (including 2 agent-built stations) have entered the main structure construction stage. Among them, 6 stations are undergoing diaphragm wall construction, the retaining structures at 3 stations have been closed, 6 stations are undergoing earthwork excavation and main structure construction, and the main structures at 2 stations have been completed.

The first phase of Metro Line 8 has 17 stations in total (including 2 agent-built stations). Among them, 6 stations are undergoing retaining structure construction (including earthwork excavation for the Phase I foundation pit at Lvshui Park Station), and 5 stations are undergoing utility relocation.

On the first phase of Metro Line 10, the main structures are 98.0% complete, tunnel sections are 87.9% complete, mainline track laying is 29.6% complete, and equipment installation is 13.2% complete.

On the first phase of Metro Line 11, a total of 12,024 segment rings have been produced, accounting for 51% of the total; 1,913 diaphragm wall panels have been completed at stations (excluding Balitai Station and Lishuidao Station), accounting for 93% of the total; 1.437 million cubic meters of earthwork have been excavated, accounting for 63% of the total; and 352 main structure blocks have been completed, accounting for 49% of the total. Shield tunneling in running tunnels has advanced 2,745 meters, accounting for 8% of the total. Among these, the Zhaowai section has been holed through on both lines; the shield machines for the left line of the Huanxue section (Xueliannan Road Station) and the left line of the Dongxue section (Xueyuan North Road Station) have been lowered into the shaft and are being commissioned; and related works supporting shield tunneling in the Sanliu section are under construction. Ancillary structure construction has started at 8 stations.
