On the morning of April 29, Hunan Province held a conference in Changsha to celebrate the May 1st International Labor Day and commend advanced collectives and individuals. Xu Dazhe, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended and delivered a speech; Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, presided over the meeting; Li Weiwei, Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC, attended; Ulan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, read out the list of commendations; provincial leaders Xie Jianhui, Zhang Jianfei, Feng Yi, Wu Guiying, and Chen Fei attended. Zhou Nong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, delivered a speech.

The conference commended the advanced individuals, units, and collectives in Hunan Province that won the National May 1st Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit, and National Worker Pioneer titles; the advanced individuals, units, and collectives that won the Hunan Provincial May 1st Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit, and Worker Pioneer titles; as well as the advanced units, advanced teams, and outstanding individuals that won awards in the Hunan Province Million Workers Key Construction Project Labor Competition. He Qinghua, Chairman and Chief Expert of Sunward Intelligent, went on stage to receive the award on behalf of the company, and Xu Dazhe, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, presented the company with the National May 1st Labor Certificate of Merit plaque.
