On April 18, 2021, the first main structure section of the Jianguo South Road Tunnel Project in Jiaxing successfully passed the divisional works acceptance, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent electromechanical installation and decoration of the tunnel.

The underground tunnel of the Jianguo South Road Tunnel Project has a total length of 1,010 meters, with a 710-meter buried section and a 300-meter open-cut section. The second basement level of the main tunnel structure is the vehicular tunnel, designed as a double-deck, double-cell structure with two-way four-lane traffic; the first basement level is an underground garage connected to the underground garages of surrounding plots awaiting development. According to construction requirements, the main tunnel works are divided into 46 structural sections.

This acceptance was organized by Pinghu Nanhetou Scenic Area Investment and Development Co., Ltd., with representatives of the five responsible parties and the supervisory body participating. After the construction unit reported on the main structure construction, the documentation group verified quality control records, test and inspection records, and construction survey records, while the on-site group inspected the apparent quality of the physical structure. The acceptance group unanimously concluded that all indicators of the main structure divisional works of Sections D1~D4 and D43~D46 of the Jianguo South Road Tunnel Project met the acceptance standards, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent electromechanical installation and decoration of the tunnel.

On April 19, 2021, as the last batch of concrete flowed into the ground pump pipeline, the first pavement layer of the buried section of the Jianguo South Road Tunnel Project was completed, marking that the buried section of the tunnel has entered a new stage of intensive construction. The completion of the pavement layer on the east side of Sections 25~33 of the buried section marks that the project will subsequently enter the critical stage of electromechanical installation and decoration. All project personnel will raise their political awareness, continue to carry forward the fine qualities of overcoming difficulties and forging ahead, and complete the target of opening to traffic on schedule.
