　　It is understood that the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub Project covers an area of approximately 61 hectares, with a total investment of about 34.5 billion yuan for the underground hub portion. It is one of Beijing's key engineering projects for 2019 and one of Beijing's top ten railway gateway hubs. It is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2024. Once completed, it will become the largest underground station comprehensive transportation hub in China and will also serve as a bridgehead connecting the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.


　　The maximum burial depth of the railway core area at this station is about 32.9 meters, and the deepest part of the west throat is about 45 meters. The total underground construction area is about 1.28 million square meters, and the excavated volume will reach 13 million cubic meters, equivalent to seven Kunming Lakes in Beijing. More than 300 large machines stand like a forest, and 2,800 workers shuttle back and forth. The construction site of the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Station Comprehensive Transportation Hub is filled with scenes of intense and bustling work.

　　Tight schedule and heavy tasks with extremely high on-site construction requirements

　　As the largest underground station comprehensive transportation hub in China, this project involves "ultra-deep and ultra-large" underground space structure construction, facing severe challenges such as difficult organization and high safety risks. To this end, the general contractor clearly stated that the hole position deviation must be within 5 centimeters, the verticality inclination deviation must not exceed 2/1000; the mud specific gravity must reach 1.2 or above; after hole formation, pile inspection and pouring are completed, steel pipe columns need to be installed with deviation controlled within 5 centimeters. All of these place extremely high demands on construction equipment and on-site construction personnel.


　　In addition, because there was no holiday during the 2020 Spring Festival, the schedule was tight and the winter was cold, drill pipes often froze. Due to limited site conditions, there was frequent waiting for site clearance, and the actual on-site construction hours were once compressed.

　　Despite the tight schedule, heavy tasks, and high requirements, Sunward equipment performed stably and rose to the challenges, delivering very good results. Since the start of construction, Sunward SWDM450, SWDM360, SWDM550-133A, SWDM550-115, as well as four 300 rotary drilling rigs and twelve 280 rotary drilling rigs have all performed outstandingly in the project. Among them, Sunward SWDM550-133A and SWDM550-115, as the two largest drilling rigs on site, are responsible for the largest pile foundations on site and have become the main output equipment for the project construction.

　　According to feedback from on-site staff: "For a pile with a diameter of 2.4 meters, a hole depth of 72 meters, and a length of 45 meters, Sunward equipment can basically complete one pile in 24 hours. At present, the Sunward SWDM360 and 550 have worked 2,000 hours. While other drilling rigs on the same site often require maintenance, they can still maintain orderly operation and are very reliable."


　　In addition, to ensure the project progress advances on schedule, all participating parties have worked together to implement a work system of "personnel rotate off, machinery does not rest." Sunward specially assigned after-sales service engineers for dedicated service to promptly discover and solve problems, providing technical support for the stable progress of construction. According to project requirements, part of the work must be completed in May. The project has a total design of 400 piles, and 300 piles have been completed so far, accounting for 75% of the total, and it is expected to complete the task ahead of schedule.
