On April 10, the Pingguo Nalao Bridge, the first half-through concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge independently constructed by Guangxi Road Construction Group, successfully completed the hoisting of its first arch rib segment, officially entering the main bridge superstructure construction stage.

The first arch rib segment is 11.8 meters long, 4.2 meters high, 2.4 meters wide, and weighs 29 tons. The project transported Segment No. 1 horizontally to the site, lifted it using the cable hoisting system at the south bank construction site, pulled it to the turning platform for arch rib turning and alignment, and finally pulled it to the No. 1 segment position on the north bank for installation. After more than four hours of continuous construction, the first segment on the upstream side of the north bank of the steel tube arch rib of the Pingguo Nalao Bridge was successfully hoisted into place, laying a favorable foundation for subsequent segment construction.
To ensure the success of this hoisting operation, the project carried out extensive and meticulous preparatory work, established a bridge hoisting leadership and command organization, conducted comprehensive construction technical briefings, improved various operating procedures, ensured that the hoisting work proceeded in a standardized and orderly manner, and conducted trial hoisting work from April 8 to 9. Feng Zhi, Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Road Construction Group, Zhang Kunqiu, Chief Engineer, and Liu Hailin, Deputy General Manager, led technical personnel from relevant departments to the project to provide technical guidance for the trial hoisting. The successful trial hoisting of the bridge and the installation of the first arch segment mark that Guangxi Road Construction Group has fully mastered the cable hoisting construction technology for super-long-span arch bridges, achieving a new improvement in bridge construction capability.
The Pingguo Nalao Bridge is a half-through concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge with a clear span of 180 meters, a total length of 294 meters, and a bridge width of 30 meters. The maximum hoisting weight of an arch rib segment is 77 tons, and the maximum hoisting weight of a grid girder reaches 87 tons. The cable hoisting system is the core process of the Pingguo Nalao Bridge, undertaking the hoisting of the bridge's arch rib segments, grid girders, bridge deck slabs, and other components. The tower frames of the bridge's cable hoisting system are designed as universal member tower frames integrating the main cable and buckling system, with the south bank tower frame 80 meters high and the north bank tower frame 82 meters high. Guangxi Road Construction Group invested in the procurement of intelligent cable hoisting system equipment, substantially enhancing its arch bridge construction capability.
At present, all processing and assembly of the main arch ribs of the Pingguo Nalao Bridge have been completed, and the splicing of the grid girders is proceeding intensively. Next, the project will focus on tackling arch rib hoisting work and strive to complete all milestone targets for arch rib hoisting. The Pingguo Nalao Bridge project is a major project implemented by Pingguo City using national policy financing to promote the integrated development of industry and the city. Once completed, the bridge will become a rapid shortcut connecting the central population concentration area and the industrial concentration area of Pingguo City.
