On April 10, Mo Gaoyi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, visited the East Hall of the Capital Museum project undertaken by the Group for investigation. Zhao Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Tongzhou District Party Committee and District Mayor, Chen Mingjie, Party Secretary and Director of the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau, Wang Jiequn, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Municipal Party Committee, Bai Jie, Deputy Director of the Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau and Party Secretary of the Capital Museum, Han Zhanming, Director of the Capital Museum, Li Changli, Party Secretary and Chairman of Beijing Investment Group, and Chen Daihua, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, participated in the investigation.


Mo Gaoyi and his delegation watched the promotional video of the three major buildings in the city sub-center, listened to the introductions by relevant responsible persons on the architectural model of the East Hall of the Capital Museum and the project's smart exhibition hall, and then inspected the construction site of the three major buildings, inquiring in detail about the current progress of the project.


Chen Daihua, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, introduced the development of Beijing Urban Construction Group, stating that the Group has undertaken a large number of national-level projects such as the Bird's Nest, the China National Academy, Daxing International Airport, the National Speed Skating Oval, and the "Red Ribbon" at Tiananmen Square, and will fulfill its mission to build the East Hall of the Capital Museum into a premium project.


"The on-site management is very good, and the construction speed is very fast. Beijing Urban Construction Group has built a large number of national and provincial key projects and classic projects, and has done very well in engineering construction." Mo Gaoyi highly affirmed the construction of the East Hall of the Capital Museum project by Beijing Urban Construction Group, and expressed the hope that the Group will continue to carry forward the spirit of national craftsmanship, build the East Hall of the Capital Museum into another classic project, and cast another historical monument for the city sub-center.


The East Hall of the Capital Museum project, undertaken by the Group's Engineering General Contracting Department, is one of the three major buildings in the Beijing City Sub-center. Located on the south side of the "Citizens' Cultural and Leisure Group" in Tongzhou, it is a super-large museum that will become the cultural center, activity center, and citizens' cultural leisure and entertainment center of the city sub-center in the future. It is currently the top priority in the construction of the city sub-center and has received great attention from all sectors of society.


The project started foundation pile construction on August 8, 2020, and completed the foundation pile construction milestone ahead of schedule on September 29. On October 10, 2020, the above-ground main structure officially started. More than 2,200 builders fully carried forward the spirit of national craftsmen and soldiers, overcame unfavorable factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and winter severe cold construction, and took the lead among the three major buildings in the city sub-center to achieve the first concrete main structure capping, demonstrating the fine style of the urban construction iron army in fighting tough battles. Currently, more than 1,800 builders are going all out to sprint towards the goal of fully capping the concrete main structure.
