Recently, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held a concentrated commencement and completion event for major projects across the region. Nine expressway projects broke ground in a concentrated manner, with a total length of approximately 444.2 kilometers. Qin Rupei, Executive Vice Chairman of the Autonomous Region Government, attended the video conference on the project commencement and announced the start of the projects.

The nine expressway projects include the Baise City North-South Bypass Highway (Baise City South Ring Line), the Hechi (Yizhou) West Bypass Highway, the Liuzhou to Jinxiu Highway (Tongmu to Jinxiu Section), the Wuzhou—Yulin—Qinzhou Expressway (Cangwu to Rongxian Section), the Yangshuo to Lipu Expressway (Lipu Connector Line between Yanglu Road and Heba Road), the Hechi to Libo Expressway, the Luzhai to Qinzhou Port Expressway (Luzhai to Yufeng Section), the Beiliu to Huazhou Baoxu Expressway (Guangxi Section), and the Quanzhou to Rongxian Highway (Pingle to Zhaoping Section).

The projects commencing this time will better leverage the role of the road network as a link. For example, the Wuzhou—Yulin—Qinzhou Expressway (Cangwu to Rongxian Section), with a main line length of 105.6 kilometers, will further strengthen connections among the Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration and promote the development of the Pearl River—West River Economic Belt; the Beiliu to Huazhou Baoxu Expressway (Guangxi Section), with a total length of 80 kilometers, will strengthen the connection of the "East Integration" corridor and promote regional resource development and coordinated economic and social development.

Ethnic minority areas and old revolutionary base areas will also see a denser expressway network. The Hechi to Libo Expressway, with a total length of 68.8 kilometers, will fill the gap that Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County in Hechi City has no expressway passing through, greatly improving the long-backward transportation situation in the Zuojiang-Youjiang Revolutionary Old Base Area; the Liuzhou to Jinxiu Highway (Tongmu to Jinxiu Section), with a total length of 19.2 kilometers, will open up the "last mile" of the expressway for Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, the "World Capital of the Yao People," building an important channel for ethnic minority settlements to connect with the outside world; the Baise City South Ring Line, with a total length of 27.6 kilometers, is likewise of great significance to the revitalization of the Zuojiang-Youjiang Revolutionary Old Base Area.
