On the morning of March 20, the construction site of the Dailing Tunnel and Connecting Line (Phase I) Project in Changle District, Fuzhou was bustling with activity: excavators were busy repairing the access road, while workers in the steel processing yard methodically welded steel mesh sheets for the tunnel's initial support.

The Dailing Tunnel and Connecting Line Project starts at the intersection of Zhanqian Road and Yuanqian Road in Shouzhan Town and ends at the planned Daoqing Road. The project has an implementation length of 3.495 kilometers, with a road red line width of 32 to 42 meters, and includes one tunnel, one medium bridge, and one culvert.

Recently, the construction of the Dailing Tunnel has hit the "fast forward" button, with excavation officially entering the tunnel. According to reports, the current stage mainly involves the construction of the large pipe roof at the tunnel exit portal, the construction of the living area, temporary drainage ditches, and other temporary facilities. Materials such as I-beams and steel rebar have arrived on site, the secondary lining trolley for Tunnel D has also arrived, and the temporary trestle bridge has been brought in for processing. The project broke ground in July 2020, and the entire project is striving for completion by March 2023.

Once completed, the project will greatly facilitate the connection and interaction between the main urban area of Changle and the Binhai New City, and will also provide an additional expressway for travel between the main urban area of Changle and Shouzhan and Heshang, effectively alleviating traffic pressure in the urban area.
