On the 22nd, the reporter learned from China Railway 25th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. that on that day, with the last 30-meter T-beam safely and steadily placed, the erection of the Zhaojiacun No. 2 Bridge on the Kunming-Chuxiong Expressway was completed. This marks that this key "Belt and Road" construction project and major China-Myanmar interconnection corridor has entered the final sprint stage.
It is reported that the Kunming-Chuxiong Expressway is located in central Yunnan Province, connecting Kunming City to the east and Chuxiong Prefecture to the west. It is a major economic trunk line linking Kunming City with western Yunnan, northwestern Yunnan, southwestern Yunnan and Tibetan-inhabited areas. After completion, the project will become a major highway corridor in Yunnan Province's expressway network under the "seven out of the province, five out of the country" plan and an important component of the international corridor connecting South Asia and Southeast Asia.
According to relevant personnel of the builder, China Railway 25th Bureau, the route has a total length of 114.9 kilometers, with six lanes in both directions and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The completed Zhaojiacun No. 2 Bridge has a total length of 276 meters and a maximum pier height of 46.59 meters. The bridge crosses a "V"-shaped valley, where the cutting depth on both sides is large, the terrain is highly undulating, and safety risks are high.
To successfully complete the construction task, the builders consistently carried out pre-shift education for construction personnel, regular safety training and technical briefings for key and difficult procedures. By holding special meetings on controlling the concrete cover of pier and column reinforcement and organizing technical discussions, the project department overcame difficulties such as the large longitudinal slope and small curvature radius of the beam transport access road and the tight erection schedule, ensuring the successful completion of the project milestone objectives.
As part of the Ministry of Transport's "13th Five-Year Plan" expressway capacity expansion and reconstruction plan, the Kunming-Chuxiong Expressway will, after completion, connect with the Dali-Baoshan Expressway in Chuxiong and lead directly to Myanmar via Ruili. It is of great significance for promoting China-Myanmar connectivity and supporting "Belt and Road" construction.
