Recently, the preliminary design of the expansion project for the Yiyang-Changde section of the G5513 Changsha-Zhangjiajie National Expressway has been approved by the Ministry of Transport, laying a solid foundation for the smooth commencement of construction.

　　The Yiyang-Changde section of the G5513 Changsha-Zhangjiajie National Expressway is an important segment of the national expressway network. The expansion project will help improve regional traffic conditions and enhance the service capacity and driving safety of the Yiyang-Changde Expressway. The route starts at the Bijianshan Interchange in Heshan District, Yiyang City, connecting with the already-built Changsha-Yiyang Expressway expansion project, and ends at the Ludishan Interchange in Wuling District, Changde City, linking with the already-built G55 Erenhot-Guangzhou Expressway and connecting with Dongting Avenue. The main line is 93 kilometers long, built to a two-way six-lane expressway standard, with a design speed of 120 km/h and a subgrade width of 34 meters. The total project investment is 18.6 billion yuan.
