On March 15, key projects for March commenced in Weicheng District, Xianyang, Shaanxi.

　　A total of 8 projects commenced this time, covering fields such as education and people's livelihood, infrastructure, industrial industry, science and technology services, and shantytown redevelopment and urbanization, with a total investment of 3.53 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 580 million yuan. Among them, the Huanggang School project is located south of the eastern section of Huaxian Road in Weicheng District, with a total investment of 200 million yuan and an area of 50 mu. It plans to set up 72 classes, including 36 primary school classes and 36 junior high school classes, and can provide 2,800 school places.

　　These projects will play a strong role in accelerating the improvement of infrastructure conditions across the district, raising residents' living standards, providing high-quality education and science and technology services, promoting industrial quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, advancing the accelerated recovery of fixed asset investment, and driving steady economic development with progress while maintaining stability. They will provide important support for boosting the high-quality development of the regional economy and society and for achieving “incremental improvement and a high starting point”.

　　As of now, in 2021 the district has organized three centralized project commencement events. Of the 9 new municipal-level key projects it undertakes and the 26 district-level key projects planned for implementation, 7 and 14 have started respectively, with commencement rates of 78% and 50%, fully completing the commencement plan. All remaining continued projects have resumed construction, marking a positive step toward the district's achievement of a “good start” in the first quarter.
