As one of the "Top 100 Projects" in Heilongjiang Province, the Harbin Metro Line 3 Phase II project has attracted great attention from the public. Recently, a reporter visited Shanghai Street Station on Metro Line 3 on Youyi Road in Daoli District and saw that "diaphragm wall" construction was proceeding at full speed there. A roaring trench cutter easily scooped up mud from a depth of 47 meters underground and loaded it into large trucks... At present, all 12 stations in the "Northwest Half Loop" of Line 3 Phase II have fully resumed work and production, 15 days earlier than the planned start date.

According to reports, because the Youyi Road section has a large traffic volume, the construction site has been compressed to the greatest extent possible in order to minimize the impact on traffic. Due to the small work area and narrow site, as well as the fact that the frozen soil period has not yet passed and muck trucks cannot enter during the day, construction faces many difficulties. In order to speed up the project schedule, all more than 120 employees of the project department have been put on duty, working in shifts 24 hours a day. During the day, the soil excavated underground is temporarily transported and stored at the construction site, and at night it is transported away a second time. This has increased a large amount of input in manpower and material resources.

It is understood that Metro Line 3 is the only loop line planned for the city, with a total length of 32.18 kilometers and 31 stations, constructed in two phases: the "Southeast Half Loop" and the "Northwest Half Loop." The "Southeast Loop" has 19 stations and is currently undergoing intensive station decoration, with trial operation expected to begin in the second half of the year. The Daowai section and Qunli section began construction in April 2018, and most stations have completed main structure construction. The tunnels from Taipingqiao Station to Jingyu Park Station and Qingzhensi Station have already been completed, and the tunnel for Jingyu Street Station is expected to be completed in July this year. Heshang Street Station, Shanghai Street Station, Youyigong Station, and Zhaolin Park Station are undergoing "diaphragm wall" construction.
