It is understood that Section 5 of the Guijingu Expressway has a total length of 6.766 kilometers, passing through Chaoyang Village in Longchang Subdistrict and Hongyan Village in Gubao Town of Xiuwen County, as well as Fangmaping Village in Longchang Subdistrict, with one Xiuwen hub interchange. The main quantities of work include: 11 bridges, 18 circular pipe culverts, slab culverts and slab passages, 2.52 million cubic meters of roadbed excavation and 3.05 million cubic meters of fill.

　　“Regarding the current progress of the project, 5,000 cubic meters of roadbed fill have been completed, and 20 pile foundations have been completed. Construction of the Yanjingpo medium bridge and the pile foundation of the Sanchaoshui Bridge has now started,” said Li Shaodong, head of the Engineering Management Department of CCCC Investment Nanjing Co., Ltd.

　　The Guijingu Expressway is a key project in the “Five-Year Decisive Implementation Plan for Expressway Construction in Guizhou Province in the New Era,” with an estimated total investment of 32.596 billion yuan. It has a total length of about 160.8 km and is built to a two-way, six-lane expressway standard across the entire line, with a design speed of 100 km/h and a roadbed width of 33.5 meters. It starts at the Jiangjunshan interchange at the intersection of Donglinsi Road and Yuntan North Road in Guiyang, passes through Xiuwen, Xifeng and Jinsha, and ends at Qingchi Town in Jinsha County, Guizhou, connecting with the planned Gulin (Guizhou-Sichuan border) to Luzhou section of the Guiyang-Chengdu Expressway in Sichuan Province. The route is 38.9 kilometers long within Xiuwen County, passing through seven townships (towns and subdistricts), including Longchang Subdistrict, Gubao Town, Xiaoqing Town, Saping Town, Liuguang Town, Dashi Township and Liutong Town. Within Xiuwen County, the project sets up the Xiuwen hub, which is an interchange between the Guijingu Expressway and the Wuchang Expressway, as well as two ground-level interchanges, Xiuwen South and Saping, a 6.79-kilometer Saping connecting line, a 26-kilometer Shuangshi connecting line within Xiuwen County, and one service area in Ganba Village, Longchang Subdistrict.

　　“This expressway runs through seven townships, towns and subdistricts of our county. After it is completed and opened to traffic, it will be of great significance for advancing rural revitalization, consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, and driving all-for-one tourism,” said Zhu Rong, deputy director of the Xiuwen County Transport Bureau.

　　It is reported that other sections of the Guijingu Expressway are also being advanced simultaneously. Key node projects such as the Xiaoqing Grand Bridge, Chatian Bridge, Hejiapo Tunnel, Wafangzhai Tunnel and Zhenzhujing Bridge have entered the site and started construction. All seven contract sections within Xiuwen County have entered the site and started construction. After the expressway is completed and opened to traffic, it will become one of the expressway corridors from Guiyang to Chengdu and will help accelerate the rapid integration of the central Guizhou urban agglomeration with the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
