On March 4, 2021, at the construction site of Harbin Station on Harbin Metro Line 2, a busy construction scene was underway, with station decoration, equipment installation, and water supply and drainage work visible everywhere. According to reports, all 19 stations of Metro Line 2 have now fully resumed work and production. Management personnel including project managers, supervisors, and professional technical staff have 100% returned to their posts, and 80% of frontline production workers are back on site, totaling more than 2,100 people. As the weather warms up and construction conditions permit, all construction projects will fully start on March 15.

In order to thoroughly implement the "Six Stabilities and Six Guarantees" proposed by the central government and the spirit of the provincial Party Committee's "Two Sessions" and the municipal Party Committee plenary session, and to ensure that Harbin Metro Line 2—a key project among the province's "Top 100 Projects"—achieves the goal of opening for trial operation this year, Harbin Metro Group organized China Electronics Technology Harbin Rail Transit Co., Ltd. and various construction units to repeatedly study construction plans, scientifically formulate the 2021 construction plan, work backward from the schedule, and firmly assign targets, tasks, and responsibility subjects.

To seize the construction schedule, the construction units have adopted cross-operation, shift-operation, and coordinated-operation methods, launching a tough battle in metro construction and achieving "accelerated speed" at the start of construction. According to statistics, at present, equipment installation at the 19 stations of Line 2 has been completed by 95%, cable laying by 70%, water supply and drainage by 80%, air duct installation by 90%, and overall station decoration by 40%. The decoration of Shengzhengfu Station, Zhujiang Road Station, and Longchuan Road Station has reached 80%, laying a solid foundation for ensuring that Line 2 opens for trial operation within the year.
