Through the unremitting efforts of the many construction workers, on February 25, Xi'an Metro Line 14 officially entered a three-month no-load trial operation phase, marking that Line 14 has entered a critical period in its operational preparation work and is racing at full speed toward the goal of opening.

No-load trial operation is a key stage that rail transit must go through in the transition from the construction phase to the passenger operation phase. By simulating the real operating environment after opening, it repeatedly verifies and adjusts and improves the technical parameters of train operation and the functional safety and reliability of each equipment system, and tests and trains operational personnel's emergency response capabilities and professional levels. It is an important trial stage for the line before passenger operation.

To ensure the smooth implementation of the trial operation, Xi'an Metro formulated a work plan in advance, organized professional and technical personnel to carry out mainline duty, train-following debugging, and equipment monitoring, and responded to various emergencies in a timely manner; it promptly reviewed safety issues arising during the trial operation, conducted in-depth analysis, strengthened rectification, and tracked the implementation of rectification in real time; it fully carried out the running-in between personnel and equipment, equipment and equipment, and personnel and personnel, strengthened safety education and equipment operation training, improved the skill levels of professional personnel, and ensured that all indicators of the trial operation met national standards, laying a solid foundation for opening and operation.

The Metro Line 14 project (North Railway Station to Heshao Village) starts in the west at North Railway Station and ends in the east at Heshao Village in the International Port Area. The line is 13.7 kilometers long and has 8 stations, all of which are underground stations. The electric passenger trains use six-car B-type trains, with a maximum capacity of 1,792 passengers and a maximum design operating speed of 100 kilometers per hour. On February 23, 2021, the line passed engineering acceptance.

As a key transportation supporting project for the 14th National Games, once completed, Metro Line 14 will become a rapid corridor connecting the two major transportation hubs of the airport and Xi'an North Railway Station as well as the Olympic Sports Center, and will play an important role in improving the accessibility of the rail transit network and ensuring the smooth holding of the 14th National Games.
